I started developing my yoga practice in 2005 and was introduced to the beautiful, simple and powerful discoveries of Vanda Scarvelli.
Scaravelli’s philosophy of “be kind to yourself” has helped me work through injuries during my years of running. I believe the knowledge I have gained so far has to be constantly nurtured, the constant yearning for more knowledge is the road to knowing oneself more deeply on a physical, mental and spiritual level.
I have a BTEC professional diploma in the Practice & Teaching of Yoga from Morley College under the tutelage of Rosabella Jordan and Donna Malcomson. My current teachers include Chloe Fremantle and Vaccasin.
The restorative practise will be gentle floor poses, breathing exercises and simple visualizations which will be a great way of releasing tension and stress. This slow and gentle practise is suitable for all.
I also practise and teach a Scaravelli inspired flow class. By allowing time to release the spine and observing the way the body reacts. You begin to follow the Scaravelli philosophy of breath, gravity and the wave of the body.
“You have to learn how to listen to your body, going with it and not against it, avoiding all effort or strain.” Vanda Scaravelli
