January 5th – February 5th. Thursdays at 8.15pm – 9.30pm
This 6-week course for beginners will give you the knowledge you will need to begin your yoga journey. You will learn the basics, the terminology and the possible adaptations so that, going forward, you will feel confident to attend classes in a range of yoga styles.
The course will set you up for a great and rewarding practice and is open to men and women of all ages and fitness levels.
Week 1 : Breath- Linking movement with breath.
Week 2 : Standing poses – Recapping week 1 and introducing standing postures.
Week 3 : Balance poses – Recapping the first two weeks and introducing some simple balancing postures.
Week 4 : Recapping the previous weeks and introducing twisting postures
Week 5 : Recapping the previous weeks and introducing back bends
Week 6 : Bringing all the elements of the previous weeks together into a class from start to finish including the Sun Salutation sequence
