This is a workshop for all women, but particularly those going through the peri-menopause or menopausal. A tranquil space and time to tune into our minds and bodies, to move, relax and restore – bringing about a sense of equanimity.
Starting with a simple and effective balancing breath exercise to settle the mind and calm the body.
Followed with a slow flowing yoga sequence – including asanas which can help with some of the negative symptoms of the menopause and PMS (including hot flushes, fatigue and mood swings).
After the slow flow we shall move into a series of restorative poses to open the body through passive stretches using props – an excellent antidote to stress, enabling the balancing of mind and body.
Finishing with a long, nourishing yoga nidra, one of the easiest yoga practices but an immensely powerful meditation technique, a guided practice, allowing the practitioner to enter the stage between wake and sleep, leaving them with a total sense of wholeness.
